A young Cuban, Elio, pulls back from his close relationship with his twin sister Lila when he befriends Raul, a sexy, volatile co-worker who dreams of emigrating to Miami. That dreams becomes more desperate when Raul gets in trouble with the law, and with Elio’s help he sets out to hustle up the equipment and supplies they need to set sail. Lila impulsively joins in the harrowing 90-mile voyage.
