Vacationland director Todd Verow draws on his experiences as a teenage rent boy to craft this semi-autobiographical tale of a young art student who turns to hustling in order to pay his tuition, and the important life lessons he learns in the process. Joe (Tiri Swain) is a small-town kid who has recently left home to study at a prestigious New England arts college. Before long, Joe and freewheeling fellow student Jennifer (Julia Frey) have become fast friends. Both are struggling simply to pay the bills and keep up on their tuition, at times resorting to petty larceny in order to make ends meet. Later, Joe strikes up a casual friendship with punky male hustler Ramon (Gil Bar-Sera), who suggests that he consider giving prostitution a try. Upon taking Ramon up on the offer, Joe begins to discover things about himself that he never would have known had he simply remained in his small town.

When certain elements are set into motion, they tend to stay in motion. If tampered with, they can spin out of control. Marcel and Kyle are in love at first sight, and even though they can’t legally marry, they will find a way to make it work. French Marcel marries their lesbian friend Sarah so he can stay in the USA with Kyle. Together they can overcome any obstacle, hurdle any barrier. Together they cannot be stopped. Enter Kyle’s sister April, a former prostitute. She needs a place to crash, but for how long? Taking a quick dislike to Marcel, April methodically drips poison into their happiness. But where Marcel sees a conniving woman with a not-so-hidden agenda, Kyle only sees his sister – in need. And how do you choose between family and the love of your life? Why should you have to? Love isn’t pure after it’s been tainted. Our perfect couple falls headlong into possessiveness, jealousy and rage; trapped in the tangled emotions found in that space between love and goodbye. Just how far will one of them go to put a stop to the madness?

Beatific Vision is a Gay Spiritual comedy about getting what you need as opposed to what you think you want. What does Michael do when his lover of fourteen years, Chad, dies from brain cancer? Michael does not have much time to grieve when Chad as an angel immediately comes back to him. Chad has seen Michael’s future and now takes it upon himself to guide and nudge Michael along his path. Chad’s psychiatrist, Damien, has agreed to support Michael in this process but as hard as Damien tries he cannot deny his infatuation with Michael. The seemingly unrelated “coincidences” begin to fall into steps of Michael’s path when cute boy toy Bryan arrives on the scene the night after scattering Chad’s ashes. Damien’s x-wife, Pat and Michael’s best friend, Barbra add to the mix and are also guided by Angel Chad to their destiny. Like a board game, Angel Chad provides just the right amount of clues to Michael to begrudgingly move him towards his ideal future.
