John Wayne Gacy Jr. (March 17, 1942 – May 10, 1994) was an American serial killer also known as the Killer Clown who committed the rape and murder of 33 teenage boys and young men between 1972 and 1978. Twenty-six of Gacy’s victims were buried in the crawlspace of his home, three others elsewhere on his property and four victims were discarded in a nearby river. Gacy became known as the “Killer Clown” due to his charitable services at fundraising events, parades and children’s parties where he would dress as “Pogo the Clown,” a character he devised himself.
The movie is based on the true story of a college student contacting John Wayne Gacy in prison before he was executed. Jason Moss, begins a written relationship with John Wayne Gacy in the hope he can get information that law enforcement agencies haven’t been able to extract. He does this by “baiting” Mr. Gacy with his youth, inexperience and naivety in matters relating to sex and sexuality. Surprisingly, it works too well and in short order Moss is deep into situations in which he is clearly outmaneuvered and well out of his depth.

Cast:
A 16-year-old boy becomes obsessed with the tempestuous relationship he shares with his mother while drifting through early life and exploring the mysteries of adolescence. Hubert Minel doesn’t love his mother, but instead regards her with open contempt; her sweaters are tacky, her decorations around the house are terminally kitsch, and food is always getting stuck around the corners of her mouth when she eats. But it’s not just the surface details that drive Hubert insane; his parents wield manipulation and guilt like sharpened instruments of punishment, and the psychological torment is becoming too much to bear. As Hubert’s fixation on the volatile love/hate relationship threatens to consume his entire family, artistic discovery, early sexual experimentation, and illicit experiences hint at an undiscovered world of opportunity.

Gradually, over the course of shooting, Medea’s interest in Otto grows and she decides to make a documentary about him. Flattered by the attention lavished upon him by both the filmmaker and his smitten fellow cast-members, Otto suddenly finds his life — or death — gaining a newfound sense of purpose.

Runtime:
101 min
Director:

Cast:
Based on the popular television series, Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom is a feature film that continues the narrative thread of the second series, with all the luscious drama that one would expect. In this, Noah Nichols (Darryl Stephens) and his ARC: Alex Kirby (Rodney Chester), Ricky Davis (Christian Vincent), and Chance Counter (Douglas Spearman), retreat to Martha’s Vineyard for Noah’s intimate marriage to Wade Robinson (Jensen Atwood). While Alex’s hubby, Trey (Gregory Kieth), video chats from home to babysit their newly adopted Ethiopian child, Chance brings his husband, Eddie (Jonathan Julian), and Ricky is accompanied by the 19-year old Brandon (Gary Leroi Gray) for some lighthearted fling-dating. But as the four couples hole up and attend separate bachelor parties, each relationship begins to unravel. Alex’s pill-popping throughout the weekend, compiled with surprise drop-ins from Noah’s boss, Brandy (Jennia Fredrique) and rapper Baby Gat (Jason Steed), don’t help Noah and Wade work through last-minute jitters. Humor abounding, many of the deep questions about what marriage and commitment mean are filtered through scenes about stress related to coming-out and what promiscuity symbolizes to gay men. Appearances by two moms, Noah’s (Suanne Coy) and Wade’s (Tonya Pinkins), also make for some fun, and tense, situation comedy. Jumping the Broom has all the verve of the series, so if you are already a fan, this romantic tale will not disappoint.

Director:

Cast:
A gay private investigator based in Albany, New York. Even before the opening credits roll, Strachey (Chad Allen) finds himself surrounded by cops with guns drawn when the shadowy female he’s tracking through the city’s gritty back streets turns out be an officer of the Albany Police Department. Under arrest, he explains that her husband hired him to follow her to see if she was having an affair. The only problem is, she isn’t married. To save his hide, Strachey has to figure out who the so-called husband really is and why he hired him to tail a cop. He gets thrown off course when a small-town lesbian couple (Margot Kidder and Gabrielle Rose) becomes a target of homophobic vandalism and threats. Strachey can’t resist volunteering to help track down the perpetrators, even as he continues his search for his phantom client. Seeking both of them at once proves to be tough, but as the violence escalates, his twin investigations start to seem suspiciously like one and the same case. Director Ron Oliver maintains a satisfyingly noirish mood as Strachey fends off a pass from a naked hunk, takes abuse from both the local homophobes and the cops and finally nabs his prey.
