In director Q. Allan Brocka’s series continuation of the 2006 fan-favorite film “Boy Culture,” Derek Magyar returns as X, still working hard as an escort for hire. But in 2021, he’s up against a younger generation, personified by hustler-turned-pimp Chayce (Jason Caceres), who have gained a competitive edge on the market in the digital age. As X struggles to keep his aging body fit, and his unusual roster of kinky clients happy, he’s also dealing with the realities of still living with Andrew (Darryl Stephens) — now his ex — who’s aiming to move on from their former romantic entanglements.

After a powerful militia seizes control of the United States, some friends try to escape the escalating violence and oppression. They must move undetected as their only hope is to cross a heavily guarded border. However, as the militia starts to close in, they’ll need to do whatever it takes to survive.

Pat Pitsenbarger was once Sandusky, Ohio’s leading hairdresser and shining light of its gay community. Now living in a nursing home, he’s informed that the town’s society leader, a former customer, has requested his services for her funeral. Escaping the nursing home with only his flashy jewelry, he heads to town on foot. Along the way, he visits the grave of his late partner, whom he still loves deeply, and is treated to a flashy wardrobe makeover by a woman who always admired his style. Dropping by the gay bar where he used to perform drag as “Mr. Pat,” he learns it’s their final night. He attends the festivities and recaptures some of the joy of his youth. He also faces the anger he feels at having been betrayed by his beauty shop protégé and the customer who abandoned him when his partner died of AIDS.
